In 2009 Amerigo Tot (Imre Tóth) the Hungarian-born sculptor would have been 100 years old. On this occasion within the Amerigo Tot Centenary 2009 thematical exhibitions and lectures will be presented in cooperation with prestigious institutions (such as the Ludwig  Museum of Contemporary Art and Accademy of Fine Arts in Budapest). Non-governmental organisations also collaborate in this initiative. Our ambition is to present Tot's œuvre and to draw attention to the fact that culture is not simply something to make but also something to preserve. The artist's various life and his attitude to life can be served as a model. The sculptures we inherited convey messages day by day. Thus we can connect with the past and to the master's ideas.
